We’ve officially moved to central Oregon, and we’re feeling overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of nature areas here. We spent a morning exploring Smith Rock State Park and although the bridge to the more challenging hikes was closed, there were plenty of awesome views to keep us occupied.

Someone was enjoying a hot air balloon ride and they were kind enough to frame themselves in the rock like this for me.

These next two images were taken from the same lookout. We could see several massive inactive nests sprinkled throughout the cliffs across the valley. A golden eagle and a pair of red-tail hawks also made an appearance (not pictured).
